Gameplay

Assassin’s Creed III
features new gameplay elements such as hunting and dual wielding of weaponry. Here the protagonist Connor uses two weapons against a group of redcoats.
Assassin's Creed III is a third-person action-adventure title set in an open world in which the player uses a combination of stealth, parkour, and combat to complete various missions. The player takes the role of three characters during the course of the game. The main character is Desmond Miles, a 21st-century Assassin, working to uncover the secrets of a mysterious Precursor Vault that purportedly will protect the Earth from an upcoming solar flare on December 21, 2012. To uncover the secrets, Desmond uses the Animus to live out memories of two of his ancestors which the player controls during these sequences, both set at the time of the American Revolutionary War. The first, briefly played at the start of the game, is Haytham Kenway, a British Templar that seeks the location of the Vault. The second, and the primary character for the game, is Ratonhnhaké:ton, the son of Kenway and his Native American wife. Ratonhnhaké:ton takes on the name Connor to blend in better with colonial society. When playing as Connor, the player has access to a huge wilderness known as the Frontier (which is 1.5 times bigger than Rome in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood), the cities of Boston and New York. Portions of the Eastern Seaboard andCaribbean Sea can be explored via the flagship of the Assassin's navy, the Aquila, captained by Connor himself, with Robert Faulkner his first-mate advising and teaching him in the ways of the sea.
Free running has been simplified to allow for more fluid parkour in the cities and wilderness, such as climbing and running on trees, mountains, cliffs, etc. Close combat has been modified, allowing Connor to dual-wield weapons and take down multiple opponents at once and players no longer need to manage the lock-on mechanic. Aiding this, Connor has access to a wide range of weapons which include muskets, pistols, native weapons such as the tomahawk and bow and arrow, a rope dart (used to pull foes or hang them, while on a tree) as well as the Hidden Blades. In addition, the left Hidden Blade has a folding mechanism for blocking attacks, skinning an animal, and performing high-profile assassinations. Human shields can be used against firing lines of enemies. Medicine is no longer used as health recovers automatically. Stealth is also revamped, allowing players to use natural elements such as tall grass and trees to hide, along with the ability to blend between any two people.
Assassin's Creed III features new weather simulations such as snowfog, and rain. The seasons can also change i.e., Summer and Winter, which not only effect visuals but also gameplay, as the player will find running slower in deep snow. Snowfall can reduce visibility for the player and enemies, aiding stealth. Unlike the past games, this one includes animals varying from domestic (horses, cows, dogs) to wild (deer, wolves, bears). The wild ones are found in the Frontier, and can be hunted for meat or marrow in order to be sold. The quality of the kill determines the price, encouraging the player to hunt silently. For this, traps and bait can also be used.
Economy is now based on the Davenport Homestead, which also acts as Connor's adopted home. The site can be visited by people such as carpenters, tailors etc. suffering from displacement due to the war. Helping and interacting with these non-player characters(NPCs) will encourage them to settle in the Homestead. From there on, the player can craft various items and trade with them, and then sell the goods to the cities via caravan. The player can also help them build relationships with each other, which will then result in the formation of a small village. The player can also upgrade the Homestead manor as well as Connor's ship, the Aquila.
A revamped version of Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood's recruitment feature returns as players can enlist citizens to the Assassins' cause by completing "Liberation" missions. They also have a much larger skill set, which allows them to start a riot, provide a covert escort, act as a personal bodyguard etc. Other side missions include collecting Almanac pages, exploring underground tunnels to locate fast-travel stations, joining hunting and fighting clubs, investigating frontiersman rumours about UFOs and Sasquatch, "peg-leg" missions in which Connor goes to underground forts and wastelands to uncover the legend of Captain Kidd's treasure, and others.
Assassin's Creed III also features naval expeditions. Using Connor's warship, the Aquila, the player can navigate the high seas. Control of the ship relies on environmental factors such as wind direction and speed, local presence of storms, high waves, and rocks. Engagements are by cannon, with broadsides covering both flanks of the ship, and swivel guns that can be used to damage smaller ships which can also be boarded to find treasure. The Aquila is used in the side missions known as "Privateer missions" and is also used in some of the main missions.
The Wii U version of the game has extra features. The player has the ability to change weapons on the go and the map is always visible on the Wii U Gamepad. The Wii U version also supports Off TV Play. With this feature enabled, the main screen is redirected to the Wii U Gamepad.
Multiplayer returns in this installment by Ubisoft Annecy. Along with returning modes, new ones feature a co-operative mode named Wolfpack, in which 2-4 players are charged with killing certain NPCs within a time limit, through a sequence of 25 stages. It also features Domination, a team mode where players will have to capture certain areas of the map, protecting them from the opposing team.

Hot Pursuit allows players to control police vehicles and participate in high-speed pursuits, a feature absent from the series since 2002.

Hot Pursuit goes back to the Need for Speed series' roots and takes on the gameplay style of earlier "Hot Pursuit" titles in the Need for Speed franchise with exotic cars and high-speed police chases. It is primarily inspired by the original Need for Speed on 3DO.Hot Pursuit lets players be either a cop or a racer and features a full career mode for both roles. The relationship between the cops and racers is described as "a dog chasing down a rabbit"; the police being more powerful while the racers are faster. Each side has several power-ups including calling for roadblocks and radar jamming. According to Criterion the single-player section is somewhere between 12 and 15 hours long, but with lots of replay value.
The game takes place in a fictional location known as Seacrest County. It's an open world and features over 100 miles (160 km) of open road, four times larger than that of Burnout Paradise, Criterion's previous title. Hot Pursuit features a new social interaction system called "Autolog" described as "Facebook for the game". The game features both single-player and multiplayer game modes with up to eight players; as an option to live multiplayer racing, players can post records and achievements on the Autolog feed for friends to see, which they then can try to beat. Autolog also contains an experience system called "Bounty".
The driving mode of the game is described as "fun, accessible, okay", however not as arcade-styled as Burnout Paradise, but far from a simulator. All vehicles in Hot Pursuit are licensed real-world cars and SUVs, described as "all the cars you dreamed of driving, in the way you dreamed of driving them". Most vehicles are available in both racer and police variants, but a few are exclusive to each side. Also exclusively featured in the Hot Pursuit is the Porsche 918 SpyderFerrari however, last seen in a Shift DLC-pack but notably absent from all other Need for Speed games since Hot Pursuit 2, is also absent from Hot Pursuit. There is no car customization and tuning, "just because the game really focuses on the Hot Pursuit element." Unlike previous Need for Speed games which use unbranded, fictional models, real cars like the Audi A4Chevrolet CobaltPorsche Cayenne and Nissan Frontier are used as traffic cars.

Gameplay

This is the final race with Marcus Blackwell. Enjoy!!!

Stage 1

2012-01-02 00003
Stage 1 opens with Jack duct taped to the steering wheel of a Porsche 911 Carrera S that is being hoisted and dropped into a crusher by a crane.
Jack successfully escapes from the crusher and steals an Audi RS4 as he attempts to escape from The Mob. The Mob notices him and promptly pursues Jack. The pursuit ends when Jack crosses the railway before being involved in a collision with a train.
2012-01-28 00023
Jack meets long-time friend Sam Harper in a Chinese restaurant. As they begin to discuss Jack's troubles with the Mob it becomes clear that Jack and Sam both grew up together in the same neighbourhood.
Calvin Garrett walks past the two and this prompts Sam to let Jack know of a means of escaping his debt with the Mob. They head around back where they see Mila Belova leaving with her Run equipment.
Sam places a briefcase in a dumbwaiter lift which is the hoisted and returned back down with the case being replaced a tablet device. The tablet is encoded with the route of The Run.
2011-11-21 00004
Jack heads to his garage in San Francisco and chooses a car to enter The Run with. The Police begin to shut down San Francisco and stop any racer from leaving the city as Jack makes his way to the start line of The Run at Nob Hill.
Jack has to reach 150th position upon reaching Las Vegas but must first leave San Francisco before the police close the Golden Gate Bridge. The long drive begins across the state of California.

Stage 2

2011-11-30 00001
After driving on the West Coast, passing San Francisco and the Altamont Pass, Jack enters the region of the Yosemite National Park. Jack soon finds a rival with a passion for more than just The Run itself.
Marcus Blackwell wants Jack out of the race and in a body bag after his escape from the crusher. He will do whatever he can at any point he can with his signature Aston Martin One-77.

Stage 3

Need for speed the run nikki and mila
Stage 3 begins as Jack enters Death Valley and ends in Las Vegas.
Jack has to race through a sand storm with severely reduced visibility in the centre of the lifeless Death Valley. He will also encounter Nikki and Mila as well as the highway police.
Reaching Las Vegas becomes all too real for Jack as he has to ditch his car after being nearly busted at a police roadblock. He's given a new goal; 50th position at Chicago.

Stage 4

2012-02-06 00016
Stage 4 opens with Jack going straight to the top of the police wanted list after his entanglement with them in Las Vegas. He has to cover ground in Nevada quickly and rushes out of leaves Las Vegas in the dead of night.
Jack will cross the state of Nevada before the police catch up with him and his rivals in Zion National Park, Utah. It quickly becomes a desperate game of cat and mouse into Colorado and into the snowy clue of what is to come along the Million Dollar Highway.

Stage 5

2012-02-06 00019
Stage 5 opens with Jack running in the midst of a tight pack of racers along the icy and slippery Interstate 70. The snow proves to be the biggest enemy as Jack covers ground in Colorado.
The rivals start to push Jack to breaking point along the dangerous mountain roads as they climb higher and higher towards the inhospitable peaks. Jack reaches the summit of the Rocky Mountains in central Colorado and is faced with a conflict; turn back or risk it all along a closed highway.
The decision is made for him as a rival nearly runs him down and drives onto the closed highway. Jack has to beat the rival and make it to the other side of Independence Pass.

Stage 6

Nfs the run the plains
Stage 6 pits Jack against higher performance vehicles as these rivals made it through the Rocky Mountains before the snow storm. The narrow farmland roads of Nebraska, South Dekota and Minnesota are a speed run across middle North America.
The routes quickly become a series of split second choices with the tight packs of traffic and blind jumps resulting in several close calls for Jack.

Stage 7

2012-02-06 00026
Stage 7 is Jack's assault on Chicago and his desperate bid to reach position 50 before reaching the city. Jack has to fight off several rivals during his approach on Chicago through Wisconsin and Illinois.
The country roads leading to the Kennedy Expressway are dense and technical with little room for driver error. Jack's time along the expressway attracts the attention of the Mob and ultimately their attempt on his life in Lower Wacker, Chicago.

Stage 8

2011-12-04 00026
Stage 8 joins Jack as he tries to leave ruined Downtown Chicago and cross the remainder of Illinois with the Mob hot on his trail. Audi vehicles are Jack's only option.
The highways of Ohio get Jack back into The Run but the Mob has Jack in their sights and don't let up their aggression towards him. He has only one goal now; reach New York City in first place or lose it all.
The Mob push and push against Jack with him eventually being forced from his pursuit of first place in Cleveland, Ohio. The events in Cleveland's industrial district work in Jack's favour with Sam's connections giving him a final chance for victory.

Stage 9

2011-12-04 00034
Sam's connections have landed Jack in the presence of Uri, a mechanic for some very high-performance vehicles. Sam has arranged for Jack to take one of Uri's cars that will put him at level pegging with the rivals found in Stage 9.
Jack has to very little time to reach New York City and still a great deal of rivals to overtake. He finds himself zooming across the expressways of Pennsylvania and Interstate 68 of West Virginia before reuniting with the police in the forests of Maryland.

Stage 10

2011-12-05 00005
Stage 10 has Jack making his way to the front of the pack with the police closing in on him and his many rivals. Pennsylvania and New Jersey are in his way as he makes his final approach towards the east coast.
Jack faces off against Marcus Blackwell through the congested streets of Downtown New York City, the interconnected subway and the crowded dock yards.
After that, both racers will drive on a long straight passing through a warehouse. Blackwell will crash at the entrance, which results in Jack completing the Run as the winner.
